"Coldworker was formed in February 2006. The band consists of former and current members of bands such as Nasum, The Project Hate MCMXCIX, Relentless, Ruin, and Phobos.
Musically Coldworker label themselves as full blasting death metal - like a mix of European grindcore and American death metal.
During June 2006 Coldworker recorded their debut album "The Contaminated Void" by themselves in Coldworker Studios (= the rehearsal room). The album was then mixed by Dan Swanö at Unisound and mastered by Peter In de Betou at Tailor Maid.
"The Contaminated Void" was released on CD and LP by Relapse Records, November 6 (Europe/Japan) and January 23 2007 (USA). LP available worldwide in November.
Close after the release Coldworker toured in Sweden and Denmark together with Arch Enemy and Path Of No Return as 2006's Close-Up Made Us Do It tourpackage.
2007 was an exciting year in the Coldworker camp, as it saw the addition of Daniel Schröder on guitar. Coldworker performed at the Finnish Metal Expo in Helsinki, and toured Europe together with Dew-Scented and Misery Index. In December the second album was recorded, this time Dan Swanö handled both the mixing and the mastering.
2008 saw the release of Coldworker's second full-length album, entitled Rotting Paradise (once again mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö at Unisound), released May 12th. Also, the band performed at Germany's Essen Death Feast, Holland's Neurotic Deathfest, and Denmark's Aalborg Metal Festival among others."
