Heya, over twenty years ago I bought an '89 Custom shop with a haunted house & weeds, storm scene graphic on it.

Over the years (it saw a lot of gigs) it's gotten chipped and dinged and worn in different places. A bit of the white underneath is showing in various places. Unfortunately the decision to put gaffe tape on it was made 12 years ago. (See photo https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... =1&theater ) Worried taking it off will pull off a lot of the finish under it.

Is it possible to repair the graphic at all? Or should I just strip it back and refinish it?
I also need to get a new black tremolo arm for the Floyd Rose, which otherwise works perfectly well. Any ideas where I could get one?

Additionally I'd love to know what wood the body was made from. It's a "strat" body.
The fingerboard is ebony and the neck is still perfect... oiled. Feels beautiful.

I'm going to try some New York authorised repairers, but thought I'd ask here first.

Many thanks in advance.

That graphic was probably done by Dan Lawrence, he works at GMW now, so it may be best to contact him there directly if you are at all interested in repairing the original graphic. You could try using some Goo Gone to remove the tape, it is primarally orange oil and won't damage your finish.. You can order a new trem arm through Stew Mac or Floyd Upgrades, they are off the shelf items.

Photos don't upload here, you have to link them from a photo hosting site..

No luck. Contacted Dan, and he didn't do the job... any other thoughts?

Thanks in advance.
