ANDRES GIMENEZ / DE LA TIERRA, A.N.I.M.A.L
Argentine singer/guitarist Andres Giminez co-founded thrash/nu metal act A.N.I.M.A.L. in 1992. The band toured throughout Latin America, the United States and Europe in the mid-to-late 1990s, opening for acts like Pantera, Biohazard, Bad Religion, Suicidal Tendencies, Sepultura and Slipknot.
After going on hiatus in 2006, the band returned in 2015 for a pair of live shows in Buenos Aires.
During the break, Giminez formed a new band called "D-mente.
In 2012, he formed De La Teirra, a Latin American alt metal supergroup that also features Brazilian guitarist Andreas Kisser of Sepultura, Argentine bassist Sr. Flavio of Los Favulosos Cadillacs and Cuban/Colombian/Mexican drummer Alex Gonzalez of Mana.

De La Teirra was recently nominated for a Latin GRAMMY for Best Rock Album with 2016’s II.
